To record and manage your Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities, follow the process below:
Recording CPD Activities
- Log onto the ECSA website:
👉 https://www.ecsa.co.za - Navigate to the CPD section on the platform.
- Enter your:
- ECSA Registration Number
- ID Number
- Select Developmental Activities.
- Choose the relevant activity type, for example:
- Course
- Lecture
- Workshop
- Seminar
- From the available options, select the validated CPD activity from the provided list.
Alternative Record Keeping
Members are also encouraged to maintain a personal (manual) record of all CPD activities attended. This helps ensure accuracy and acts as a backup in case of system audits or discrepancies.
Proof Requirements for CPD Activities
In the event of an audit, SARF and ECSA may require proof of participation in CPD activities. Acceptable forms of evidence include:
- Certificate of Attendance or Completion
- Official Results or Assessment Records
- Signed Attendance Register or Record
- Proof of Payment (e.g. receipt or invoice)
- Written confirmation from SARF or an accredited training provider
Important Note
All CPD activities must be:
- Validated through recognised bodies such as SARF or ECSA
- Completed within the applicable validation period
Members are responsible for ensuring that their CPD records are updated regularly and are supported by valid documentation.
