The South African Roads Federation (SARF) is proud to offer the Road Safety Engineering Course, providing fundamental training to support the implementation of the Safe System Approach on the South African road network.

This course is one of the pre-requisite courses for ECSA registration as Specified Category Practitioner: Road Safety Auditor authorising the use of the postnominal RSAud.

WHY THIS COURSE MATTERS:

  • It addresses skills development on the critical need for safer roads in the face of the road safety crisis in South Africa.
  • RTMC developed draft TMH29 as an updated Road Safety Audit Manual (SARSAM) adopting the Safe System Approach.
  • The Safe System Approach embodies the principle of “safe users on safe roads in safe vehicles at safe speeds” – which is the basis on which the course is founded.
